Friends

My high school friend and her kids came to visit on Tuesday, Jake, Ayla, Addison and Ava had lots of fun playing and it was great to catch up with Stacey!!

Operation Oven....

Ok so Thursday evening I was sitting in the living room and heard the oven make a noise, it was turning on and heating up on its own.. so finally Adam agrees we need a new oven.. Boy it sure looked bad once you get it outside and after you look at all of the fancy new ovens out there!!  We had a slide in oven not a free standing so we have some work to do before Friday when the new oven comes!!!  Of course its always more work than you thought it was going to be, so we had to bring in some help.. Addison loves to help his dad with projects around the house..( notice his radio on his hip, Adam must have had his on from work still) sooo cute.

Visiting Grandma Nancy

Addison and Ayla stayed with Grandma Beth and Grandpa John on Friday and went to Papaw Phil's to visit him, he is still doing fine at home!!   We went to a wedding Saturday, Congratulations to Casey and Amelia, it was a beautiful wedding and we had lots of fun, I forgot to take pictures of the big day!! Then after church today we went down to Marietta to visint Grandma Nancy it has been a couple of months since we made it to visit her.  She is in a rehab place while getting stronger after she was so sick.  She is still getting dyalisis (sp? ) 3 times per week.  She looks great but says she is very week, she doesn't look swollen at all, she says her and Papaw talk on the phone like 3 times per day, and they both have lost weight!  We continue to pray that they both will get stronger day by day!!

Final Swimming Lessons for Addison!!

back stroke

Going of the diving board and swimming while taking breaths, taking breaths were a little difficult but he is doing much better!!

Addison finished his swimming lessons and I don't think he swam a single lesson in the 8 days that the temperature was above 70 degrees, it has been so chilly here these past two weeks, the last day Ayla  decides she may be ready to sign up and Addison wants to do it again, however we can't fit it in so we will try again next year, we haven't even been able to get to the pool to practice what he has learned so that doesn't help, Ohio weather, geesh!!

Grandparents Update

Well good news my Grandpa who has been in the hospital since April is getting home as we speak.  He had an open heart surgery and many infections, etc.  His biggest hurdle now is breathing, he has a hard time catching his breath.  He is suppose to allow people to do things for him so lets hope he does, we went over to see him Saturday and he was doing really well, his voice is very weak since the whole for the trach (sp?) is not healed up yet.  Thanks for your prayers for him and please continue them.

His wife my grandma has bee in the hospital since the first week of June, she was in Mareitta, he was in Zanesville.  She is in a rehab place currently until she is strong enough to make the trips 3 days a week to Mariett for dyalisis ( sp?).  Her kidney's are her biggest obstacle, we need to make the trip down to see her.  She had been a little grumpy at times so we are hoping this treatment will make her feel lots better.  Again thanks for your prayers for her hopefully she will be able to come home soon and they will not have to split so many ways since they both need constant care!!

the Wilds June 2011

We have not been to the Wilds for several months and with the zoo coming in there are lots of changes and things we needed to see!!  We took, Nate, Tiff, Braxton and Hudson and also our cousin Natalie and Steve who had never been!  It was a perfect day too do not to hot and overcast!! We had a wonderful time.  I checked out the zipline...... not sure if I have the courage to go zipping or not but if I do I will post it on here for sure!! It is due to be complete by the end of this month Adam is for sure going to do it but boy its higher than I thought and the last part of it goes over the lake and rumor is you could go up to 35mph.  They also have horse trails that I think I could handle! I hope to try that sometime as well, our kids are too young for the horse trails although they probably would love it as well!

Addisn, Braxton, Hudson and Ayla ready to go!

Another shot at these cute kids!!

I forgot to take pictures of the giraffe, we were feeding them and I had to hold onto the kids so that they wouldn't get pulled out of the truck while the giraffe were eating the branches! The rhinos are always fun to watch!

Ayla and Braxton brought their very own cameras this time and got some good shots!!

Camels

These are two of the "baby" cheetahs, not such babies anymore, they are nearly 8 months old and they look so big!!!

The Columbus Zoo has program animals come down to the Wilds on weekends and do short presentations on some animals so we dropped by, these animals and guys travel around with Jack Hanna and are on all of the shows that you see Jack on.. This was Trout the penguin!!

They had 2 baby gray foxes they were adorable and super soft!!

An armadillo, I wish we got video of this thing running around it was so fast and light on its feet!!

This is Edward one of the cheetahs born at the wilds that the mother did not take care of.  It is traveling all over the world now and has been on many news and talk shows!!

Ayla, Adam and Addison with Edward and his caretaker!

Tiff, Nate, Hudson, Braxton and Edward,

This week the wilds got 3 new ostriches.  I think they are ugly and mean looking..

A baby Pere Davids Deer that had a broken leg, that was recovering in the barn!

Swimming Lessons

Ayla decided she was too little for swimming lessons but Addison LOVES it, I think she regrets it a little more everyday becasue she sees how much fun Addison is having.  This week his lesson was in the morning and it was a very chilly week, not to motivating to jump right in!! Brrrr  It wasn't even 70 degrees every day. I tried to get videos of him jumping in and swimming but I will try again next week, I am not good at videos, He is doing great!!

Summer Sleepover

Addison wanted his friend Braxton to come over and spend the night.  He has only stayed at his grandparents house prior to this so we were hoping he would go through with it.... and he did!!  Braxton is Ayla's age and goes to the same babysitter as Addison and Ayla.  Addison and Ayla wanted to sleep with him so he would feel safe.. We need to talk with his parents and decide how long Ayla and Braxton are going to b allowed to sleep in the same room..haha.. The kids went up at 6:00 and made the beds how they wanted them, I made dinner at 7:00, at 7:30 they went up and got jammies on and they asked to go to bed by 9:00, every child was asleep by 10:00, until 7:00 the next day it went perfect!! Thanks for letting Braxton come to our house and sooooo glad he felt safe.  Addison told me I should invite Tiff and Nate his parents and we can all sleep together so Brax will feel safe, luckily he didn't need that to feel safe!!

Relaxing before bed!

Getting ready to read books before lights out!

We got up the next day and are going to the Wilds, the kids decided it was a hat day for the trip... They are just adorable!!

##Addison Riding a Bike##

Jack gave Addison his bike a couple of years ago and Addison has his own however his feet didn't reach the ground comfortably until now! We practiced one night on our street and in our driveway and the next night Adam practiced with Addison in the church parking lot and he just took off riding, he is so happy and doing an excellent job!! His feet still are not touching the ground comfortably on his bike so we are content with the other bike at this time!!
