We had tickets for the rodeo back in October and Ayla got sick so we had to postpone our trip. We went Saturday night and it was a blast!! We got there at 6:30 and didn't leave until 11:30 and it was still going strong!!
We had tickets close to the chute which was neat so we were able to see how they moved all of the animals around which was interesting!
Addison and Ayla got free cowboy hats when we walked in the door!
Here are some of the cowboys getting ready to ride!
They had some sumo wrestlers for added entertainment.
Ayla giggled lots when they were rolling him out of the arena.
They had saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding. I thought at first the saddle was easier but the first 2 guys stayed on but many other were bucked off pretty quickly.
Trying to get the horse back in the chute.
They had two cowboys on "normal" horses to help get the rider off of the bucking animals if they made it for the 8 seconds. Here is one guy making the switch.
Some of the cowboys after they ride.
Then they had little kids that had signed up to try to ride sheep it was sooooo funny. Addison and Ayla want to do it really bad.
They also had cowgirls who did the barrel racing which was also awesome.
Ayla wants to be cowgirl and own a horse now .....really bad!!
After the rodeo Randy Houser was performing in a concert. We didn't realize this when we bought the tickets but we stayed and watched some of his concert. We got to hear the songs we knew so that was cool.
